| William John Edmondson started art lessons at the age
of nine and never looked back. During high school Mr. Edmondson was fascinated
by biology, in which he majored at Delaware Valley College of Science and
Agriculture in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. |

William taught himself the "dry brush and wash technique" in
watercolors. With urging from a relative of Norman Rockwell he continued to
pursue this technique. After meeting the distinguished botanical artist, Manabu
Saito, he went on to perfect this unusual method of painting. Mr. Edmondson
taught biology for two years, then switched to teaching art in a Southwest
Florida middle school were he has spent the last thirty-three
years.

As an art educator and marine
aquarist, William Edmondson hopes to promote an awareness and better
understanding of our planet, especially the oceans.
