Stephen Willcox Stephen grew up under sunny south Florida skies. With his friends and family he spent most of his leisure time, boating, swimming, and diving the clear, blue waters of Biscayne Bay and the Florida Keys. During this time, he grew to love the deep, rich tropical colors and the beauty of the pines, palmettos and palms in his native home. Whether, bringing home tropical fish for his saltwater aquarium or simply snorkeling over the reefs, he was beginning to appreciate the richness of his environment. Steve began to paint scenes of everglades, seashore, "Old Florida" architecture, seabirds, and sunsets. His work creates images of serenity challenging the viewer to be swept up in the peace and tranquility. Stephen Encouraged by many people who have seen his work, he began to produce paintings to be offered to the public. He continues to work, developing new ideas and scenes through research and study of surrounding flora and fauna and hopes to generate new enthusiasm with each painting he completes. Steve and his wife, Barbara , live on Florida's east coast.
