Meryl Meyer A native of New York City, Meryl studied Computer Art 15 years ago at the School of Visual Arts. She was taken by this new Art Form. It had a special magic for her. In 1986, Meryl put together a One Woman Art Show sponsored by Booth Memorial Medical Center in Flushing, Queens, which was enthusiastically received. In August 1988, one of her paintings was accepted and included in the world renowned, Siggraph Juried Art Show in Atlanta, Georgia.   Meryl After relocating to Florida in 1991, Meryl gradually acquired computer equipment and software to pursue her computer art. She now has her own studio at home with her husband David at her side as her inspiration and technical support. Her cat, Sasha, sometimes keeps Meryl company as she paints. She is presently a member of the Artists Guild in her area. My technique involves using my photographs only as references and guides. I paint with a digital pen, which acts as a paint brush and then paint on a digitized tablet which is my canvas. Then I chose a medium such as watercolors, oils or chalk and adjust my brushes as I paint. I can add textures and use different papers."
