Lloyd Cheney began woodturning in 1959. The beauty and diverse
nature of hardwoods has kept him "hooked" ever since. He presently uses over
150 species of hardwood, both domestic and exotic.

Specializing in
non-functional vases, Lloyd works full-time exhibiting his work in juried fine
art shows across the country. Although his larger intricately detailed vases
have received hundreds of awards, he finds his best seller is a vase simple and
graceful in design, composed of numerous exotic woods. He steps aside allowing
nature the recognition she deserves.
Lastly, to compliment his work, Lloyd designed and
makes pedestal's composed of discs assembled in a spiral staircase effect.
Surprisingly strong and well-balanced, they draw attention to any art form they
display. |
