Linda S. Altshuler Art has always been Linda's love. She dedicates her career to her mom, Myra,who pushed her in that direction. Linda has her degree in Fine Art & Education from the American University in Washington DC. She developed her talents exploring printmaking, drawing, painting, sculpture & Art History. Having the many National galleries in her backyard, her enthusiasm for art grew. She taught art in Washington D.C. for 2 years before moving to Florida where her primary work was doing layout & advertising for Daytona International Speedway. Linda's last 9 summers have taken her on the road to NC to paint in the mountains. Linda exhibited her work in Cashiers and Hendersonville and looks forward to another great adventure this summer in Asheville! Linda moved to South Florida in 1977 and has taught art for over 30 years in the public & private sector. Her commercial work includes design & advertising for Mr. Pottery & Florida Power & Light. Her many years as a graphic artist have given her experience producing art in a variety of styles. For over 13 years, Linda has volunteered in schools teaching 'Meet the Masters.' In 2005-2006, she taught drawing & painting and summer camp at "Young at Art" Children's Museum in Davie, Florida. She currently teaches part-time in South Florida.
