JoAnne Thorn JoAnne Thorn works as a freelance graphic designer, photographer, and artist. JoAnne has employed many mediums in her art work. Among these are traditional techniques of photography, oils and pastels. The new and emerging medium of computer graphics combine all these in a unique fashion. JoAnne has worked as a computer graphics artist for nine years, developing her own freehand style of painting with the computer, using an artpad and "mouse."   JoAnne The natural beauty of the state's terrain and surrounding waters have always been an inspiration for her work. A scuba diver for many years, she can witness it firsthand. The waters off the coast of Florida are teeming with unseen life and majesty. With underwater photography, computer freehand techniques, and Giclée, JoAnne attempts to capture a bit of that fragile beauty in many of her works. Her manatees have become local favorites, and are on permanent display in the "Manatee Room" at the Orange City Chamber of Commerce. She has been the official artist of the Blue Springs Manatee Festival for the last five years, her manatees featured on Manatee Festival t-shirts and advertising.   She has exhibited her work at art shows around the state and at several one woman shows including the Seaside Gallery in Daytona Beach Shores, and the Orange City Chamber of Commerce. Her computer graphic work was shown at the Orlando Museum of Art's "Art and Technology Show" in 1998.   "...The computer is a delight for me.
